Our experience over the last 5 years has shown us that no amount of intervention in the life of a child can have lasting effects as long as the child's surroundings remain unchanged. But when the immediate environment of a needy child like the family, ambience and community issues are addressed, you are helping to change the context in which the child is brought up. Child sponsorship therefore changes a child's life by changing the world to which he/she belongs.

Child Sponsorship creates a network of partners, who in the long term help build a self-reliant and sustainable community that brings out the best in every child. By working not just with children, but also with their families and communities, Vineyard India helps create an atmosphere that children can make a new life a reality. We ensure that your money is being invested not just in the life of one child but also in the lives of other children within your child's community!

A contribution $180 or Rs.7200/- (includes tuition, transport, textbooks and uniform) therefore addresses issues that promote the overall development of the child. Sponsored children along with their community are helped through education, training and awareness programmes.

Along with this, newer business opportunities are generated among poor families, so that some day, they can stand on their own feet and continue to provide for the coming generations. Child Sponsorship is therefore a long term commitment, and its effects are sustainable and long lasting!
